    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">*LIMITED DURATION (SUMMER) INTENSHIP ONLY*</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The following information is designed to outline the functions and position requirements of this job.  It does not identify all tasks that may be expected, nor address the performance standards that must be maintained.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>General Position Summary:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Assist the maintenance department in duties to help ensure the accurate and efficient operation of all Port owned grounds and facilities.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">   </span></span>Sweep walkway of debris or use a leaf blower.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Set up tables and chairs as needed for conference room meetings as directed by Administration at Main office.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Paint manifolds and buildings.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Pick up parts that have been ordered in town using a port owned vehicle.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Errands around town in a port owned vehicle. Ie: stocking freezer with ice, paperwork to and from the main office.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Pulling weeds around port owned facilities and grounds.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Sweeping and cleaning port owned facilities and grounds.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Cleaning and detailing port owned vehicles.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Helping shop mechanics with oil changes on port owned vehicles.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Counting and labeling of inventory in shop yard and parts room.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Secondary Functions:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Specific Job Skills:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Possess knowledge of general lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mower, trimmers and blowers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Good organizational skills.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Ability to work outside in different climates including cold, wet, hot and windy conditions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">     </span></span>Ability to stand for long periods including bending, stooping and reaching.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Education and/or Experience:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">       </span></span>High school education or equivalent required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 10.0pt\">·<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt\">       </span></span>Must be at least 18 years of age.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Job Conditions:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Working conditions include working alone and with others, working outside in varying weather conditions, and frequent interruptions.  The incumbent may be required to work in an environment where there are fumes, building temperature fluctuations, noise, chemicals, poor ventilation, dirt, dust, chemicals and extreme outside weather temperatures.</p>",
