A Typical Day The Visitor Center Staff is responsible for greeting customers and provide excellent service. Conduct the hands-on daily visitor center retail, café and catering operations. Work as a team to keep the visitor center and all work areas clean and presentable. Job Responsibilities Provide excellent and friendly customer service Prepare food and beverages with required ingredients and equipment Provide proper serving etiquette during an event Demonstrate basic numeric understanding to open and close cash register, accurately count money, process a sale, collect money and provide correct change Maintain a clean, well-organized and safe work environment Understand first in, first out rotation to ensure freshness of products Provide guest direction for self-guided tours Keeps current about Hilmar Cheese Company, Hilmar Ingredients and visitor center catering, tours, cafe and retail information in order to answer customer questions Hold self and others accountable to HCC’s food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates. Performs a variety of additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving operational needs What You Will Need High School diploma or equivalent
