About the role Relief Secondary School Education Assistants provide valuable support to students and teachers across a range of learning environments. Working closely with classroom teachers and Learning Support staff, you will assist students with diverse learning needs, support the implementation of individual learning plans, encourage positive engagement, and contribute to a safe and inclusive educational environment. Key responsibilities Support students within classroom, small group, and individual learning settings Assist teachers with the preparation of learning resources and lesson materials Support students with diverse learning, behavioural, and emotional needs Encourage student engagement, independence, and participation in learning Assist with the implementation of Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAPs) Support students in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and life skills Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behaviour strategies Collaborate with teachers, Learning Support staff, and allied health professionals Provide feedback regarding student progress, wellbeing, and engagement Supervise students during classroom, school, and excursion activities Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment About you You are a caring and proactive Education Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed. You enjoy building positive relationships, working collaboratively with others, and adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of students.
