    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Role Purpose</u></strong></p><p>The Coordinator, Traffic is a driven and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for ensuring the effective flow of cargo through the terminal. &nbsp;The role anticipates and eliminates potential delays through planning, scheduling and co-ordination of resources to deliver exceptional customer service.</p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">To liaise and communicate with steamship lines, class one’s, truckers, shippers, government agencies and internal staff to coordinate the movement of import &amp; export cargo and resources.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">To check and resolve inward and outward EDI errors.&nbsp;</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">To plan and execute in and outbound rail movements, including internal communication of car specifications and loading plans with operations team.&nbsp;</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Process and validate operational and administrative information, responsible to verify and confirm data accuracy against relevant documentation. Where required proactively resolve errors.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Monitor and communicate information/changes to internal and external stakeholders.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Process special service requests for customers and ensure that all billable charges are quoted, approved and invoiced.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Respond to customer enquiries in a prompt and professional manner, escalating where appropriate to ensure resolution.&nbsp;</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Complete all necessary forms such as bills of lading, customs documentation and re-manifest/cargo control documents.&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Support all administration duties, reporting, billing, etc.</span></p></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Knowledge &amp; Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\">A degree in business, logistics or similar field is preferred.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills, with attention to detail so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, and the proven ability to learn new systems quickly.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Proven ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for achieving desired results.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Motivation and the capability of working on own your initiative while contributing to the team.</span></p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Flexibility to work irregular hours which may include weekend and holiday work&nbsp;as required.</span></p></li><li>Fluent in English.</li><li>Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.</li></ul>",
