LifeLong Medical Care is looking for a <strong>Radiology (X-Ray) Technician</strong> to work at our Urgent Care sites in San Pablo, and Richmond, California. The Radiology Technician performs X-Rays for diagnostic purposes. Follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Current <strong>California Radiologic Technologist licensure required</strong>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a in-person, part time, benefit eligible position, working 24 hours/week. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is represented by SEIU-UHW. Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and an employee in this position must remain a member in good standing of SEIU-UHW, as defined in the CBA.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>LifeLong Medical Care is a multi-site, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a rich history of providing innovative healthcare and social services to a wonderfully diverse patient community. We have over 15 primary care health centers and deliver integrated services including psychosocial, referrals, chronic disease management, dental, health education, home visits, and much, much more. </em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em><u>Benefits</u></em></p>\n<p><em>Compensation: $27 - $29/hour. We offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision (including dependent and domestic partner coverage), generous leave benefits including ten paid holidays, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) retirement savings plan.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during scan.</li>\n <li>Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination. Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.</li>\n <li>Develop and process radiologic film.</li>\n <li>Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.</li>\n <li>Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Practice Manager or supervisor.</li>\n <li>Perform related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, labeling films and film envelopes and maintaining procedure logs.</li>\n <li>Retrieve radiologic orders from and input related data into the electronic medical record.</li>\n <li>Maintain adequate radiologic supplies.</li>\n <li>Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed by controlling patient flow.</li>\n <li>Obtaining blood pressure measurements, documenting vital signs in the EMR</li>\n <li>Perform all other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Commitment to the provision of primary care services for the underserved with demonstrated ability and sensitivity in working with a variety of people from low-income populations, with diverse educational, lifestyle, ethnic and cultural origins. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of radiologic safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.</li>\n <li>Communication – Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.</li>\n <li>Computer Skills – Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.</li>\n <li>Confidentiality – Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality. Comply with all HIPAA regulations.</li>\n <li>Customer Service Oriented – Friendly, cheerful and helpful to patients and others.
