We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and participate in E-Verify. </p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>Probst Electric is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated <strong>Assistant Controller</strong> to join our dynamic finance team. The Assistant Controller reports directly to the Shared Services Controller and supports several operating units in the West Region of Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE: PWR).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a fully owned subsidiary of Quanta Services, Probst Electric is a premier utility construction company providing energy infrastructure solutions. Probst is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage accounting processes with appropriate internal control safeguards.</li>\n <li>Prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.</li>\n <li>Implement process improvements and maintain internal control procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain trial balance, prepare,  journal entries and account reconciliations.</li>\n <li>Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments to achieve shared goals.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and industry best practices.</li>\n <li>Ensure accurate and timely sales tax and other filing requirements.</li>\n <li>Support internal and external auditors by preparing schedules, providing supporting documentation, and addressing inquiries.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.</li>\n <li>Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in financial accounting software and Microsoft Office. Experience with JDE is a plus.</li>\n <li>Experience with general ledger, monthly close cycle, account reconciliations, financial statements, accounts payable, and payroll.</li>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy</li>\n <li>Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Construction and/or job cost accounting experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p>At Probst Electric Inc., a proud subsidiary of Quanta Services (NYSE: PWR), you’ll join a team that takes pride in delivering high‑voltage transmission construction, design‑build solutions, and maintenance services for public and private utilities.
