By offering mentorship and robust Training and Development opportunities, IND<u>US</u> continues its pursuit to be the Employer of Choice. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Program Manager, the <strong>Weapon System Interface Engineer (System Engineer) </strong>designs, develops, integrates, and maintains hardware and software interfaces used to connect undersea vehicle systems with the WAF HWIL simulator environment.<strong> </strong>This is a <strong>contingent</strong> position expected to be located in <strong>Newport, RI</strong>.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Designs and develops hardware and software interfaces for undersea vehicle and weapon system integration.</li>\n <li>Implements interfaces using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom hardware solutions.</li>\n <li>Integrates hardware stimulators and interface drivers into the WAF simulation environment.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software interface components.</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains software development tools supporting interface integration.</li>\n <li>Supports system integration testing and verification.</li>\n <li>Documents interface designs, modifications, and integration procedures in accordance with project documentation requirements. </li>\n <li>Bid and proposal support if requested.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An <strong>active</strong> secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.</li>\n <li>Three (3) years of experience developing customized interfaces for weapon systems utilizing commercial and custom hardware.</li>\n <li>Five (5) years of experience developing customized interfaces for weapon systems.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting hardware-in-the-loop simulators.</li>\n <li>Experience with signal processing interfaces or diagnostic communications systems.</li>\n <li>Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills. </li>\n <li>Must possess strong time management skills. </li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.</li>\n <li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time.
