Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Senior Space Capability Warfighter Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support SDA’s mission. Responsibilities include:</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Requirements & Design </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Translate operational user requirements into technical system specifications </li>\n <li>Support Concept of Operations (CONOPs) development for satellite capabilities </li>\n <li>Participate in design reviews to ensure user needs are addressed and considered in design decisions </li>\n <li>Facilitate requirements generation and validation with warfighter communities </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Warfighter & Executive Engagement </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as liaison between development teams and operational user communities </li>\n <li>Support executive engagements and product development conveying capabilities and achievements</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Combatant Commands and operational units on capability integration </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Program Transition </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support transition planning from development to operational deployment </li>\n <li>Facilitate handover activities to operational commands </li>\n <li>Document lessons learned and user feedback for future program improvements </li>\n <li>Support initial operations and early operational capability phases </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience: 5 years in Space Support to Operations or Space Operations</li>\n <li>Clearance: Active TS/SCI required:qinetiqclearedjob</li>\n <li>Experience with satellite system architectures and space-based capabilities </li>\n <li>Proven ability to translate between technical and operational communities </li>\n <li>Education: Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Systems Engineering, STEM preferred)</li>\n <li>Strong systems thinking and ability to understand complex technical architectures </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Education: Master's degree in Engineering or related field </li>\n <li>Experience in Joint operations centers or command and control environments </li>\n <li>10+ years active duty military or adjacent experience</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Military Staff, Combatant Command operations and planning processes </li>\n <li>Experience with LEO satellite constellations or proliferated architectures </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company EEO Statement</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Accessibility/Accommodation:</strong></p>\n<p>If because of a medical condition or disability you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please send an e-mail to [email protected] or call (540) 658-2720 Opt. 1 and let us know the nature of your request and contact information.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>QinetiQ US is an Equal Opportunity employer.
