          "text": "<ul><li>Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized distribution work.</li><li>Capable of leading crew members in the absence of the Foreman</li><li>Proficient in the installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of the overhead electric distribution system while energized at primary and secondary voltages.</li><li>Prepares associated hardware and materials.</li><li>Must be able to operate various types of motorized equipment used in the construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric distribution system.</li><li>Work on poles up 100 feet and Steel Structures on lines up to 230 kilovolts (kV).</li><li>Use of Live Line Tools up to 69 kV and rubber gloving method may be used up to 12 kV.</li><li>Able to install electric meters rated less than 200 amperes.</li><li>Install and maintain electric service lines and metering equipment, primary and secondary voltages.</li><li>Install wood, steal, concreate, and fiberglass poles.</li><li>Install fuses, services drops and electric meters.</li><li>Able to operate line switches.</li><li>On new installations, climb poles and attach building service wires to overhead electric distribution lines and install electric meters. Connect service wire leads, insert fuses, and test meter for proper voltage and operation.</li><li>Able to install cross arms, insulators, conductors, switches, transformers, and other equipment on both overhead and underground system.</li><li>Pull load break elbow from pad mount or rack-mounted equipment using hot stick.</li><li>Periodically work extended overtime shifts.</li><li>Proficient in Pole/Tower Climbing.</li><li>Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.</li><li>Must be able to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Standards</strong></p><p>Required physical abilities to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger dexterity, grasp, and repetitive motions. Must be able to routinely lift objects under 10 pounds; occasionally lift objects from 10-25 pounds, infrequently lift objects from 25 – 30 pounds and infrequently lift objects over 50 pounds.</p><p><strong>Environmental Conditions</strong></p><p>Work is performed outside and includes being exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, inclement weather, noise, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, darkness, and occasional poor lighting conditions.</p>",
