The Maintenance Technician II applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position. They need to effectively communicate policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees.&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><span style=\"color:#00cccc\"><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Performs maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.</li>\n\t<li>Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.</li>\n\t<li>Repairs and maintains plumbing systems including toilets, urinals, sinks and drains.</li>\n\t<li>Disassembles machines to repair or replace broken parts.</li>\n\t<li>Cleaning of eating areas, bathrooms, kitchens and classrooms. This includes the use of janitorial supplies and chemicals.</li>\n\t<li>Setup of school events. This includes tables, chairs, stages, floor covers, etc.</li>\n\t<li>Performs preventative and predictive maintenance including lubrication and filter changes</li>\n\t<li>Requests for new parts and equipment.</li>\n\t<li>Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><span style=\"color:#00cccc\"><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></span></p>\n\n<p>While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; bend and reach for job-related functions; climb up and down stairs/ladders; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs; reach both above and below shoulder height. &nbsp;Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.&nbsp; Must be able to visually inspect work.&nbsp; Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p>The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
