    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as, but not limited, to lathes and milling machines in a timely, safe and efficient manner</li>\n <li>Operate, perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs utilizing CNC Machines</li>\n <li>Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements</li>\n <li>Identify problems before production runs, then start and observe machine operation to detect any other malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and adjust machine controls or control media as required</li>\n <li>Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance and tooling requirements</li>\n <li>Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut and cutting tools to be used</li>\n <li>Prove out new programs and make simple edits of NC programs on at least one or more numerically controlled machines</li>\n <li>Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment</li>\n <li>Perform other work-related tasks as assigned</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be adaptable to changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively with different people and teams of people by putting others to ease&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Staying on task and following the procedures without deviation&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be able to work weekends and overtime when required</li>\n <li>Team Player&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Communication Skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of editing CNC programs&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of CNC Machine setup&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge Weiler lathes&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Read and understand blueprints&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of dimension and tolerance measurements&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of measurement instruments&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Basic Computer knowledge&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and insert used on various machines&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments.
