This position serves as a Mentor to Anesthesia techs by utilizing skills and knowledge by helping to train and orient others.</p><p><br>Think you’ve got what it takes?</p><p><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Performs and/or assists with procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists anesthesiologist with preparation and placement of neurophysiologic monitors.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with induction by connecting patient to monitors.</li><li>Assists with intubation.</li><li>Assists with the maintenance of patient’s airway.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with the insertion of IVs and other invasive lines.</li><li>Prepares and sets up equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares age-appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway.</li><li>Conducts other patient-related procedures.</li><li>Supervises the maintenance of anesthesia equipment.</li><li>Inventories and stocks anesthesia supplies consistent with departmental demands.</li><li>Maintains an inventory of properly functioning anesthesia equipment in designated area to track repairs.</li><li>Organizes, cleans and neatly maintains all shelves and drawers where anesthesia supplies are kept.</li><li>Retrieves equipment and inspects for problems.</li></ul><p>Maintains sterile supplies within expiration date. &nbsp;<br><br><br><strong>Requirements</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>H.S. Diploma or GED</li><li>BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association &nbsp;<ul><li>CER-A-T (American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) __OR__&nbsp;</li><li>Associate's Degree - Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians) (ASATT) __OR__&nbsp;</li><li>5 years’ experience as an Anesthesia Technician will be accepted in lieu of the Cer-A-T Technical Diploma - Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved &nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Required 3 years Anesthesia technologists experience<br><br><br><br>\"As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.“</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p>",
