The plant was developed as an appealing package of environmental and community benefits that make it a long-term asset to the community and an environmentally good neighbor.  Owned by the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA), the plant runs during periods of higher demand for electricity, when other sources of energy are more expensive. The Minnesota River Station consists of a 49 MW electric generation plant and a distribution substation located in Chaska, MN.\n\nThe initial hourly range for this position is $39.07 to 54.77",
