The Manager will manage a team of accounting professionals, drive process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational financial objectives.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u>:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Treasury Accounting Oversight</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee daily cash management, bank reconciliations, and liquidity reporting.</li>\n <li>Ensure accurate recording of cash transactions, investments, debt, and intercompany financing.</li>\n <li>Monitor compliance with debt covenants and banking agreements.</li>\n <li>Review and approve treasury-related journal entries and reconciliations.</li>\n <li>Partner with Finance leadership on cash forecasting and capital planning.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Payroll Accounting Oversight</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage payroll accounting processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and payroll-related liabilities.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.</li>\n <li>Review payroll tax filings, benefits accruals, and retirement plan contributions.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with HR and third-party payroll providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.</li>\n <li>Support internal and external audits related to payroll.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Foundation and Research Accounting Oversight</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee accounting and reporting for foundation funds, grants, and research awards.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with donor restrictions, grant agreements, and regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Review revenue recognition for restricted and unrestricted funding.</li>\n <li>Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.</li>\n <li>Prepare financial reports for sponsors, donors, and regulatory agencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Fixed Asset Accounting Oversight</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets.</li>\n <li>Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with capitalization policies and accounting standards.</li>\n <li>Coordinate and oversee physical inventory of fixed assets.</li>\n <li>Review construction-in-progress activity and asset transfers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership &amp; Management Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff across multiple functional areas.</li>\n <li>Establish performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.</li>\n <li>Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Identify and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities.</li>\n <li>Ensure adequate internal controls are designed and operating effectively.</li>\n <li>Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned areas.</li>\n <li>Review account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of increasingly responsible financial roles with practical experience in accounting, audit, financial analysis and internal controls</li>\n <li>Public accounting experience is desirable.</li>\n <li>Healthcare experience and CPA license is preferred but not required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Hybrid</strong>, Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital at 3599 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216</p>\n<p><strong>Hours:</strong>&nbsp;Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:&nbsp;</strong>Experience, education and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.</p>\n<p>Thriving in a culture that you can be proud of, you will also receive many employee benefits such as the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Pay</li>\n <li>Comprehensive Benefits package</li>\n <li>Vacation/Paid&nbsp;Time Off</li>\n <li>Retirement Plan</li>\n</ul>",
