For more information, please visit www.crimsonwinegroup.com Position Summary The Hospitality Associate is responsible for ensuring that guests to the winery receive impeccable customer service, while sampling our award-winning wines and learning about our vineyards, history and wine making practices. We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, self-starter who is flexible and loves working in a team environment. The candidate must be passionate about wine and have the ability to sell and develop lasting relationships with guests. Prepare for each day’s visits by reviewing reservations, guest notes, special occasions, and expectations so guests feel truly expected. Practice active listening and intentional conversation to personalize each interaction and elevate the guest experience. Brand Representation & Storytelling Represent the winery and its brands with professionalism, enthusiasm, and authenticity. Confidently share the brand story, estate highlights, and hospitality philosophy to create a meaningful sense of place and connection. Act as a brand ambassador in all guest interactions. Teamwork & Accountability Support a collaborative service culture through proactive communication, knowledge sharing, and mutual support. Take ownership when service standards are not met and partner with leadership to resolve issues and prevent recurrence. Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding guests, trade visitors, and internal winery operations. Commitment to Excellence & Growth Exhibit a growth mindset by welcoming feedback, embracing continuous improvement, and adapting to evolving guest and business needs. Participate in daily pre‑shift communication and follow safety expectations to help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaged environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodations or other reasons. Guest Service: Greet all visitors with gracious hospitality Act as Ambassador to the estate and to Crimson Wine Group Provide informative, engaging and personalized tour and tasting experiences Educate guests about the winery story, wines, and brand Inform and recommend to guests the benefits of Wine Club Effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club memberships Drive revenue by selling wine, merchandise, tasting, and memberships to guests Participate in special events and team meetings Actively continue education in wine production, viticulture, and winery history Represent the winery at outside functions when necessary Follow all company safety guidelines including Safe Alcohol Service Tasting Room Operations: Set up / break down all indoor and outdoor tasting room spaces Open and verify condition of wines Prepare printed guest materials Open/Close POS system/registers Stock wine and merchandise on tasting room floor and store rooms Perform sales transactions for carry-out and shipping orders Maintain clean and organized guest spaces at all times Assist with monthly inventory Qualifications This position requires weekend availability Must have knowledge of wine and food and continually take initiative to continue learning Strong written and verbal communication skills Sales aptitude Comfortable speaking in front of crowds Able to prioritize, manage time and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced venue Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Able to stand, walk, bend, reach throughout an 8-hour shift with occasional pushing, stooping and pulling in indoor and outdoor work environments Manual dexterity to handle, polish glassware Must possess or have ability to acquire a Wine service and Food Handler’s certifications Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends Must be at least 21 years of age Knowledge of Napa Valley a plus Experience with a luxury wine brand a plus The projected hourly pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour (tips and commission for DTC). This rate is the projected compensation for this position, however the actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as (but not limited to) candidate qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work location and market data.
