We seek a conversational, camera-confident, and curious creator to produce authentic content for African and diaspora audiences. </span><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">This</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> position will have the following responsibilities and duties:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Create short-form social-first content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and X.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct street interviews, vox pops, and community conversations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Attend cultural events, concerts, launches, festivals, and local happenings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Spotlight local businesses, restaurants, creators, artists, and emerging trends.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Pitch and develop original social content ideas and recurring series.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Film simple mobile-first content independently while maintaining strong storytelling instincts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with OkayAfrica’s editorial and social teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Help represent the voice, energy, humor, and culture of the continent in an authentic way.</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n\n\n\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">An ideal On-Ground Content Apprentice is a true connoisseur of brand identity, social movements, and the broader landscape of Black culture.
