We are committed to honesty and integrity in all its business dealings – with employees, vendors and customers alike.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Diesel Technician / Mechanic</strong> is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturer’s and company standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION: $36k - $120k depending on experience</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Diesel Technician / Mechanic Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Bi-Weekly Pay</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation and Sick Time </li>\n <li>6 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance </li>\n <li>Life Insurance (Company paid)</li>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match</li>\n <li>Discounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family Vehicles</li>\n <li>Opportunity for Advancement!!!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.</li>\n <li>Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.</li>\n <li>Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.</li>\n <li>Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.</li>\n <li>Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training</li>\n <li>Possess current, valid driver’s license</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years old</li>\n <li>Ability to work Monday - Saturday</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions and Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p>The Diesel Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.</p>\n<p>The Diesel Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li> Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building</li>\n <li> Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently</li>\n <li> Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.</li>\n <li> Hear and speak</li>\n <li> Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.</p>\n<p><em>Sun Auto Tire & Service provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.</em></p>",
