    "description": "<h2>Role Summary</h2>\n<p>Free People is looking for a Senior Merchandise Planner who will maximize sales and profit by developing sound merchandise plans for one or more departments that support the company’s goals for sales, turn, and margin.  </p>\n<h2>Role Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensuring the success of one or more departments by meeting or exceeding sales, gross margin, and inventory turn</li>\n <li>Partnering with the merchants to monitor and evaluate sales of current styles on a weekly basis</li>\n <li>Collaborating with planning and merchant team to identify any business opportunities</li>\n <li>Partnering with the buyer and planning manager to effectively manage receipts and inventory</li>\n <li>Maximizing opportunities thru key item programs</li>\n <li>Clearly communicating and providing reporting and analysis to highlight important trends and/or support key initiatives</li>\n <li>Utilizing the OTB to drive business</li>\n <li>Partnering with allocation to understand store level strategies</li>\n <li>Building strong partnerships thru constant communication and collaboration with merchant team</li>\n <li>Taking trend and merchant direction and interpreting it into a profitable strategy</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Role Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong financial and analytical skills</li>\n <li>Results oriented</li>\n <li>Creative problem solver/ “outside the box” thinker</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills</li>\n <li>Works well in teams</li>\n <li>Strong excel skills</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>The Perks</h2>\n<p>URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
