This involves transforming a \"green\" (uncured) tire into a finished product with the desired shape, tread pattern, and material properties.  </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operating Curing Presses and Equipment: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Loading and unloading green tires into curing presses. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Operating and monitoring curing presses, including controls, gauges, and indicators. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Making minor adjustments and troubleshooting issues with the presses and equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing mold and bladder changes as required. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Cleaning and drilling venting in molds. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Building and tearing down bladders. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Assisting in spraying and loading passenger tire presses (if applicable). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintaining data input and accurately recording time and production details. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Quality Control and Adherence to Specifications: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducting first tire checks. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Chasing scrap (identifying and removing defective products). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensuring serial changes in molds are accurate. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality and quantity standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reporting any malfunctions, out-of-spec conditions, or other extraordinary conditions to supervision. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintenance and Repair: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs on presses and equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Tearing down, cleaning segmented molds, drilling molds, and cleaning molds in the press. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Creating work orders in SAP for maintenance and communicating with the maintenance department. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Safety and Environmental Compliance: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Following all plant policies, environmental policies, and safety policies. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensuring all Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Being certified to operate a forklift through the safety department (as needed). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Promoting and monitoring safety within the curing department and the plant. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Communication and Teamwork: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Effectively communicating with curing supervision, other setup technicians, and curing press operators. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Mentoring and training team members as necessary. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Adapting to changes in the work environment, including computer interfaces. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Workplace Organization and Efficiency: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Following standard practices to ensure prompt and accurate quality and quantity production. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Keeping work areas neat, clean, aligned, and orderly. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitoring the operation of the takeaway conveyor for the assigned row. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Planning work according to tire inventory and schedule needs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Knowledge and Skills</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Technical Aptitude: Understanding of mechanical processes, ability to operate machinery, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic repairs. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in following procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring product quality. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues with equipment and processes. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Communication Skills: Effective communication with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety procedures and ensuring a safe work environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve common goals. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Adaptability: Capacity to adjust to changes in the work environment and production requirement. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Education and Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>2 years preferred Manufacturing Process or related field and Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Above)</li>\n <li>At least<strong> </strong>High School graduate or GED equivalent </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n<p>Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
