Escalates to a clinician as needed</li>\n <li>Maintains thorough and appropriate documentation in the customer/patient record of all clinical activities and communication with patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals</li>\n <li>Coordinates and schedules the preparation of IV therapies and home medical equipment orders with the assistance of the Pharmacist</li>\n <li>Helps coordinate patient care activities with Pharmacists, Nurses, other Technicians and Patient Care Coordinators</li>\n <li>Prepares labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records</li>\n <li>Generates delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the Pharmacist. Picks and pulls supplies and home medical equipment</li>\n <li>Obtains supply inventories from patients/clients and communicates information obtained to the Pharmacist as required and documents all communication in patient progress notes on the pharmacy computer system</li>\n <li>Participates in branch management, department and intra-departmental meetings and quality improvement activities</li>\n <li>Adheres to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations and standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Supervisory Responsibility: No</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Successful completion of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician training program; IV certification preferred</li>\n <li>Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice per state regulations</li>\n <li>National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy in state of practice</li>\n <li>One to three (1-3) years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting, retail, or pharmacy setting </li>\n <li>General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques</li>\n <li>Flexible schedule with the ability to work on-call evenings and weekends on an as-scheduled basis</li>\n <li>Effective mathematical and communication skills required </li>\n <li>Basic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions </li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently </li>\n</ul>\n<p>**To perform this role will require constant sitting and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasional standing, and walking.
