Applicants who have a background as an EMT or CNA are well suited for this role</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>How You Will Fulfill Your Potential</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Assist patients with activities of daily living as required to promote hygiene, comfort, nutritional intake, and safety as indicated in plan of care</li><li>Assist patients with mobility through such activities as ambulating, use of assistive devices, positioning, transferring, ROM, and others as indicated by individual plan of care</li><li>Accurately obtains and documents vital signs and measurements related to patient care</li><li>Performing specimen collection and obtaining EKG</li><li>Assist and support routine unit-specific procedures and treatments related to patient care</li><li>Support all aspects of ensuring patient safety including detailed observation and reporting</li><li>Serve as a communicator with patients, family members, and staff to optimize quality care</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications/Experience</strong><br><br><strong>Education/Accredited Programs</strong></p><ul><li>High school graduate or GED required</li><li>Associates degree or higher preferred</li><li>Healthcare specific technical diploma highly preferred</li></ul><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Experience/abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Hands on, patient facing experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred</li><li>Experience equivalent to 100 hours of patient care experience strongly preferred</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:</strong></p><ul><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; can be obtained after hire</li><li>Certified Nurse Assistant certification preferred.</li><li>EMT highly preferred</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Skills/Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing</li><li>Customer service skills consistent with organizational mission and values</li><li>Ability to follow directions; perform routine responsibilities in a flexible, self-directed manner</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as, instructions, policies, procedures</li><li>Ability to use math skills to compute/interpret figures related to patient care</li><li>De-escalation training annually after hire</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px;\"><div style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 10px 0px 0px; padding: 0px 25px 0px 0px;\"><div style=\"margin-bottom: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px;\"><div style=\"margin-bottom: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px;\"><p><strong>Salary Range</strong></p><p>The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $18.75 to $28.13 per hour.
