Essential Functions Sign-on bonus: $15,000 commitment-incentive for experienced Registered Nurses, $12,000 for New Graduates More about our team Our Behavioral Health Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient Performs timely and accurate QI assessments Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call. Performs other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: • Basic Life Support certification is required. • ACLS and PALS are required. • One year of experience preferred. • ASLS certification preferred.
