This role will focus on managing and developing suppliers across Korea and Japan, ensuring world‑class component quality, compliance with SEMI standards, and robust process controls for high‑purity chemical delivery systems.</span></p><p><span>The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge of components such as <b>mass flow controllers (MFCs), valves, pressure regulators, tubing/fittings, o‑rings, heaters, sensors</b>, and ultra-high-purity (UHP) gas/chemical handling assemblies.</span></p><h2><span><b>Key Responsibilities</b></span></h2><h3><span><b>Supplier Quality Management</b></span></h3><ul><li><span>Own supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement for Korea- and Japan-based component suppliers.</span></li><li><span>Conduct <b>supplier audits</b>, process assessments, and risk evaluations using industry standards (SEMI, ISO9001, IATF, etc.).</span></li><li><span>Lead <b>8D</b>, SCAR, containment, and root-cause investigations for supplier-caused quality issues.</span></li></ul><h3><span><b>Component &amp; Process Expertise</b></span></h3><ul><li><span>Evaluate and approve manufacturing processes for: </span><ul><li><span><b>MFCs, valves, regulators, gas sticks</b></span></li><li><span><b>Heaters, sensors, filters, o‑rings, elastomers</b></span></li><li><span><b>Chemical delivery assemblies and UHP components</b></span></li></ul></li><li><span>Review supplier drawings, specifications, PFMEAs, control plans, and process capability data.</span></li><li><span>Ensure cleanliness, leak integrity, and performance per SEMI standards (e.g., SEMI F20, F57, F38, F104, etc.).</span></li></ul><h3><span><b>Technical Support &amp; Collaboration</b></span></h3><ul><li><span>Support new product introduction (NPI) by collaborating with R&amp;D, design engineering, and manufacturing engineering teams.</span></li><li><span>Provide onsite technical leadership for supplier process improvements, equipment upgrades, yield improvements, and contamination reduction.</span></li><li><span>Partner with internal quality, procurement, and operations teams to ensure flawless supplier execution.</span></li></ul><h3><span><b>Compliance &amp; Standards</b></span></h3><ul><li><span>Ensure supplier manufacturing and materials are compliant with relevant <b>SEMI, UHP, and high‑purity chemical delivery</b> standards.</span></li><li><span>Lead risk mitigation activities, including PCAs, FMEAs, MSA, and process capability improvement metrics.</span></li></ul><h2><span><b>Required Qualifications</b></span></h2><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in <b>Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science</b>, or related field.</span></li><li><span><b>5&#43; years</b> experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering within semiconductor or high‑purity industries.</span></li><li><span>Hands‑on experience with MFCs, valves, regulators, heaters, o‑rings/elastomers, or UHP fluid systems.</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of <b>SEMI standards</b>, cleanliness requirements, and contamination controls.</span></li><li><span>Fluent <b>Japanese</b> (required) and professional English.</span></li><li><span>Ability to travel frequently to suppliers across Korea and Japan.</span></li></ul><h2><span><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></span></h2><ul><li><span>Experience working directly with Japanese suppliers (e.g., Horiba, Fujikin, CKD, KOFLOC, Nippon Seisen, etc.).</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of chemical delivery modules, gas delivery systems, GC panels, or TIG-welded UHP assemblies.</span></li><li><span>Competence in quality tools: 8D, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, DOE, FMEA.</span></li><li><span>Experience with supplier development and improving process robustness/throughput.</span></li><li><span>Strong communication skills with cross‑cultural sensitivity.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Travel Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Up to 30%</li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Additional Information</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Time Type:</b></p>Full time<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Employee Type:</b></p>Assignee / Regular<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Travel:</b></p>Yes, 25% of the Time<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Relocation Eligible:</b></p>Yes<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\">The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
