    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong>Fortinet</strong> is offering an exciting opportunity to hire a talented <strong>Software Development QA Specialist</strong> to join our <strong>FortiClient</strong> <strong>DevQA</strong> team in <strong>Burnaby, Canada</strong>.</span></p><p><span>As a <strong>Software Development QA Specialist</strong>, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality of our products and the implementation of testing tools. You will be engaged in both front-end and back-end verification across cloud and on-premises platforms. Join a high-energy team that is creating innovative and compelling products for a wide variety of users. You will take ownership of quality assurance in significant areas of the product.</span></p><p><span><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Execute test cases using both manual and automated testing techniques to ensure product quality.</span></li><li><span>Design, develop, and maintain software systems to enhance the functionality and reliability of our products.</span></li><li><span>Develop and maintain the test automation infrastructure and manage the QA lab environment.</span></li><li><span>Troubleshoot and resolve issues within our mission-critical cloud services, implementing proactive solutions to prevent future problems.</span></li><li><span>Create, maintain, and monitor internal service performance metrics.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with software development, release QA, and system operations teams to improve and enhance products and services.</span></li><li><span>Work closely with R&amp;D and technical support teams to track, troubleshoot, and resolve issues through the internal issue tracking system.</span></li><li><span>Participate in customer calls for real-time troubleshooting as needed.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Required Qualifications &amp; Job Skills:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.</span></li><li><span>Minimum of four years of professional experience in a technical role.</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of client-server architecture and internet protocols.</span></li><li><span>In-depth knowledge of the internet protocol suite, including ARP, MAC, IPv4, IPsec, TCP, UDP, HTTP, SSH, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.</span></li><li><span>Over three years of hands-on experience with configuring and managing Windows and Linux servers, as well as virtualization technologies such as Windows Hypervisor and VMware.</span></li><li><span>Expertise in VPN technologies, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Web Proxy, Zero Trust Network Access, and authentication methods (e.g., MFA, certificate-based authentication).</span></li><li><span>Strong familiarity with QA processes and methodologies, along with software development fundamentals.</span></li><li><span>Proven ability to troubleshoot network and server issues using tools like packet sniffers, traceroute, process monitors, and Windows Event Viewer.</span></li><li><span>Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell or Python is a plus.</span></li><li><span>Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), data encryption, penetration testing, and vulnerability research is highly desirable.</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 3.33px;\"><li>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $85,000 - $115,000 annually.&nbsp; Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.&nbsp; Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.&nbsp;</p><p>Fortinet strives to provide you and your family with a comprehensive benefits package.
