The Automotive Technician performs vehicle repair, manufacture recall and warranty service, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting and vehicle certification and reconditioning services according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards. We are currently looking for technicians that can work one of the following schedules: Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4pm This position is located at the Roanoke Service Center, 5550 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, VA 24012 . Benefits: $29 - 32 / hour starting pay with overtime availability dependent on ASE's/Factory Certifications – No more Flat Rate $2.00 / hour pay differential for weekday shift (after 11:00 am) $6.00 / hour pay differential for weekend shift Technician Tool Allowance Full-Time Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with employer match, profit sharing, paid time off - along with Employee/Family Rental Car Discounts, Employee Referral Bonuses and Auto Purchasing Discounts Work on new vehicles across all manufacture lines Pursue Professional Development – work and train with our team of highly qualified and experienced Master Technicians Paid manufacture training and promotional opportunities Use of the latest diagnostic software and manufacture scan tooling Responsibilities Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines. Complete required manufacturer's training and perform warranty and recall repairs. Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training. Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair. Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance. Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures. Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools. May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs. Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition. Requires ability to perform manual labor, such as, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Moderate physical activity which requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds with long periods of standing and walking. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required. Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans Qualifications Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles required. OEM Level III Certification OR 4 current ASE certifications required. Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 convicted moving violations and/or at-fault accidents. No drug or alcohol related incidents with the past 3 years (Total points on driving record cannot exceed 8 points). Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. VA State Inspection Certification Preferred Requires ownership of standard hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance on current vehicles (produced in the last 3 years) Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Apart from religious observation, must be able to work a full-time shift for the one of the following schedules: Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4pm
