The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>***$50,000 Signing Bonus</strong><strong> | Flexible Scheduling | Prorated Bonuses</strong><strong> for</strong><strong> Reduced FTE</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join a <strong>highly respected, well‑established hospitalist program</strong> where quality care, physician autonomy, and work‑life balance are truly supported.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Predictable, flexible schedule</strong> — Full‑time hospitalists work <strong>(7) 24‑hour shifts per 4‑week block</strong>, with prorated bonus available for reduced FTE</li>\n <li><strong>Practice entirely inpatient medicine</strong> in a trusted, community‑focused hospital and clinic system</li>\n <li><strong>Collaborative, cohesive physician group</strong> with experienced leadership and a collegial culture that supports autonomy and shared decision‑making</li>\n <li><strong>Highly experienced clinical and non‑clinical staff</strong> who know the patients, workflow, and community—allowing you to focus on patient care</li>\n <li><strong>Fully integrated EPIC EMR system</strong> across clinics and hospitals, enhancing care coordination and efficiency</li>\n <li>Opportunity to shape and grow your role in a <strong>stable program with long‑standing community presence</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is an ideal role for OB/GYN hospitalists seeking <strong>schedule consistency</strong><strong>, strong support, and meaningful clinical work</strong> without the burden of outpatient responsibilities.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide 24/7 in-house obstetric and gynecologic coverage for Labor & Delivery and OB triage units </li>\n <li>Manage labor, delivery, postpartum care, and obstetric emergencies </li>\n <li>Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and OB/GYN surgical procedures as required </li>\n <li>Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, including shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, hypertensive crises, and fetal distress </li>\n <li>Provide gynecologic care for emergency and inpatient consultations as needed </li>\n <li>Serve as a clinical resource and backup for community OB/GYN physicians and midwives </li>\n <li>Collaborate with anesthesiology, neonatology, nursing, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care </li>\n <li>Supervise and support Midwives</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) </li>\n <li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and review of OB metrics </li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards </li>\n <li>Foster a culture of patient-centered, respectful, and evidence‑based care </li>\n <li>Participate in departmental meetings, drills, and continuing medical education activities </li>\n <li>Support initiatives related to risk management, peer review, and clinical best practices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>MD or DO</li>\n <li>Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology</li>\n <li><strong>Must have at least 3 years of experience</strong></li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa</li>\n <li>Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice</li>\n <li>Eligible to work in the United States </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>We offer</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, and other business needs.
