This position may be solely responsible for the overall planning and oversight for a segment of a project or small-scale and interior projects approximately $50+ million. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works closely with, at times under the direction of, the Project Superintendent and Project Manager on the overall day-to-day supervision of field-related construction activities for construction projects.</li>\n <li>Directs, coordinates and monitors activities of construction workers on a construction site.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with others to define construction requirements and schedule; controls project scope and budget; modifies project schedule to reflect approved scope changes.</li>\n <li>Follows and promotes established project standards, processes and procedures; examines and inspect work progress and construction sites to ensure specifications are met.</li>\n <li>Reads specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.</li>\n <li>Anticipates and identifies project issues and risks; recommends solutions; confers with project team to resolve problems and to coordinate activities.</li>\n <li>Enforces conformance to safety and quality standards, processes and procedures; conducts safety and quality control audits.</li>\n <li>Conducts weekly project issues/status meetings; documents and distributes results.</li>\n <li>Record information such as personnel, production and operational data on construction documents.</li>\n <li>Maintains established contractual requirements to manage customer expectations and quality standards; identifies opportunities for improvement.</li>\n <li>Maintains positive client relationships to leverage future repeat business.</li>\n <li>Assists in the preparation and execution of the project closeout process, demobilize all resources and successfully transition the project to the client.</li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred</li>\n <li>3+ years' on-site supervisory experience of commercial construction</li>\n <li>Relevant prior experience as a foreman, or equivalent experience, supervising ground-up projects of at least $5+ million in diverse commercial market sectors. </li>\n <li>General knowledge of construction principles/practices required</li>\n <li>Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and solve complex challenges in order to present alternative solution(s)</li>\n <li>Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders and scaffolding, lift loads up to 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal</li>\n <li>Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint</li>\n <li>Key success factors include passion for the construction industry, self-motivated, strong work ethic, time-management, highly organized, detail-oriented and creative</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The Assistant Superintendent’s work is primarily performed outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise levels may ranging from moderate to loud.</li>\n <li>Physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 50 pounds and frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking and/or hearing.</li>\n <li>While performing the essential functions of this position, the individual may use hands to handle, control or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.</li>\n <li>Individual work location will change or vary and/or position may require travel.</li>\n <li>Environment will be demanding and fast paced; number of hours typically worked in a workweek may exceed 40 hours per week.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>At Brinkmann Constructors, our passion for people means investing in their financial, mental, and physical well-being.
