    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">We are seeking tutor/mentors for our Student Support Services (SSS) - STEM Summer Enrichment program. Tutor/mentors should have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to support students in the SSS-STEM program. The primary responsibilities of a tutor/mentor are to serve as role models in supporting students through individual and group meetings toward their success. Tutor/mentors guide students in ensuring they feel a sense of belonging to the program and college and help facilitate a welcoming environment for personal growth and success.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Tutoring/Mentoring Training is June 1<sup>st</sup>- June 4<sup>th</sup> and June 8<sup>th</sup>- June 11<sup>th</sup>.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Summer Enrichment Program is Monday through Thursday from June 23<sup>rd</sup> through July 23<sup>rd</sup>.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This is a part-time, hourly position.</p><p><strong><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Example of Duties:</span></strong></p></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students&rsquo; diverse cultures, language skills, and experiences.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in Staff Meetings, tutor/mentor training, and professional development activities to continue to grow cultural competence and reflection skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Make appropriate referrals to other campus and community resources as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Facilitate group workshop sessions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reinforce collegiate skills including time management, communication and networking, and study strategies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct check-in meetings with tutees/mentees and maintain regular outreach.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist in the development of skills necessary for students to succeed both personally and academically.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist students in developing career/academic goals and expectations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in the planning of enrichment activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Evaluate and document tutoring/mentoring experiences.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.</li></ul></div><div><p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><ul><li>Current College Student</li><li>Technology, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Knowledge of social media platforms</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment coordinating needed student services</li></ul></div><p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</span></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Compensation:</strong> The hourly pay for this position is $18.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>New Jersey Sick Leave</strong>: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year.
