The primary goal of each assignment is to ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal security regulations.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities Include:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Identifying and reporting actual or potential breaches of airport security</li><li>Maintaining clear and professional communication at all times</li><li>Responding to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with airport stakeholders and first responders for rapid incident resolution</li><li>Controlling access to secure airport areas</li><li>Verifying personal identification and access badges for individuals entering restricted zones</li><li>Conducting vehicle inspections and access control in designated areas</li><li>Patrolling both airside and landside zones, including parking lots, construction sites, and aviation offices</li><li>Supporting traffic flow and managing crowd control in high-traffic areas</li><li>Interacting professionally and courteously with the traveling public</li><li>Preparing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate security records</li></ul><p>If you&rsquo;re committed to public safety and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply and become part of our trusted airport security team.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be at least 21 years old</li><li>Must have a valid State Security License (Virginia)</li><li>Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States</li><li>Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language</li><li>High School Diploma or G.E.D.</li><li>Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams</li><li>Must have access to reliable transportation</li><li>Ability to obtain an airport badge with customs seal: DHS requires a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal and employment history. Must also pass a security threat assessment administered by the TSA.</li><li>Must be willing and able to participate in pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing with negative results.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Physical Demands</strong></p><p>This job operates in a professional airport environment. It is an active position, which requires moving around the airport (offices, gates, ramp, etc.).
