If so, our team in Washington, DC is looking for a<strong> Marine Electronics Engineer</strong> with 8 years of <strong>C5I integration experience.</strong>  This <strong>hybrid position</strong> supports the <strong>United States Coast Guard and our Ship Design Group!</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct design of electric and electronic systems, study power generation and distribution, centralized machinery monitoring and control.</li>\n <li>Applying knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques, to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.</li>\n <li>Reviewing and evaluating the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.</li>\n <li>Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS’s), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC’s).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-EW1</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree and 8 - 10 years of related work experience (Degree in Engineering is preferred)</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance</li>\n <li>Must be a US Citizen for the purposes of obtaining a security clearance</li>\n <li>Minimum of 8 years documented experience developing and integrating systemsinvolving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensorprocessing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, informationprocessing, navigation and defense applications.</li>\n <li>Meets Required DoD IAT Level II Baseline Certification Requirements.</li>\n <li>Previous experience with shipboard and defense C5I systems preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.</li>\n</ul>  \n<p> </p>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,800.00/Yr. - USD $120,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
