Description
Overview
As a HSE Manager at Linesight, you’ll be part of a high-performing, culturally diverse team delivering one of Europe’s most ambitious data centre builds. You’ll work on a large-scale, high-voltage construction project where safety is paramount, and your expertise will directly shape the success and integrity of the build. We foster a collaborative and empowering environment where you’ll be supported to take real ownership of your role, grow your career, and make a lasting impact. At Linesight, trusted relationships are everything — with our clients, our teams, and our partners.
The Opportunity
In this role you will:
Lead the identification and management of high-risk activities across all project phases, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure proactive safety planning and coordination.
Champion the implementation and continuous improvement of risk control measures, ensuring they are effective, monitored, and embedded in daily operations.
Develop and maintain robust reporting and communication structures to provide clear visibility of HSE performance across the project.
Evaluate the effectiveness of site-level HSE planning through active engagement with contractors, workers, and supervisors.
Be a visible and proactive safety leader onsite — conducting audits, mentoring teams, and driving a culture of safety excellence.
Design and implement the project’s safety strategy and procedures, ensuring alignment and buy-in from all project partners.
Conduct independent audits across all construction activities, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions.
Ensure contractors establish and maintain outstanding safety practices and procedures, aligned with project and regulatory standards.
Maintain and enhance health and safety management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and accidents, ensuring thorough evaluation and implementation of preventive measures.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
A minimum of 10 years of construction safety management experience in addition to relevant HSE team management experience, ideally within data centre, pharmaceutical or high-voltage infrastructure sectors.
30 Hour training or local equivalent in Construction Industry Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA)
Management training and Incident investigation training
Strong track record in contractor management and stakeholder engagement, including design teams and project professionals.
Deep understanding of European HSE regulations and standards, with the ability to apply them in complex, fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written — with the ability to influence and lead across diverse teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools.
A collaborative mindset and a passion for building strong relationships through openness, purpose, and shared achievement.
Legal right to work in the Netherlands and willingness to be based in or relocate to Groningen.
Interviews are conducted either in person or virtually (video required).
