    "description": "<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Department:</strong> Rehab Services </li>\n <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM  </li>\n <li><strong>Work Location:</strong> UAB St. Vincent's Blount  </li>\n <li><strong>Benefits for eligible positions only include:</strong> Generous Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and More</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p>Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills. Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.</li>\n <li>Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities. Document findings of patient progress. Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed. Seek consultation as necessary.</li>\n <li>Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.</li>\n <li>Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy 3-Technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li>\n <li>Licensed Professional Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree required.
