    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Senior Data Scientist </span></p>\n<p>Amsterdam, NL (Hybrid)<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">About this position:<br></span></span><br>Context Labs is seeking a Data Scientist to work on the research and development of advanced data tools and products to support Context Labs’ Decarbonization as a Service™ platform, built on our Immutably™ Data Fabric technology.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Responsibilities include understanding the platform and workflows performed for customers, identifying opportunities to optimize existing data processes and data structures that support our advanced analytics and data science applications, including machine learning and artificial intelligence. The candidate will work cross-functionally to help translate business requirements and technical specifications into solutions—performing research, building prototypes and tools, and creating documentation as required to formalize and communicate implementation concepts to the Data and Software Engineering teams for execution.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is a diverse role requiring skills ranging from software development to machine learning applications. This position reports to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">In this role you will:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform exploratory and diagnostic data analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and scaling of information processing and retrieval.</li>\n<li>Be responsible for data mining using state-of-the-art methods.</li>\n<li>Document requirements and resolve conflicts or ambiguities.</li>\n<li>Develop prototypes, technical requirements specifications, and other documentation as required to formalize and communicate design concepts to Software and Data Engineering teams for execution.</li>\n<li>Be able to work in a self-directed fashion to work through ambiguities, grasp and implement effective abstractions and solutions, and develop resolutions for technical conflicts.</li>\n<li>Reporting on the results of the analysis in succinct form.</li>\n<li>Regularly work with colleagues in our US offices (Cambridge, MA and Houston, TX)</li>\n<li>Anything else as may reasonably be required by the company.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Experience:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of research design principles.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.</li>\n<li>Strong programming skills in Python. Experience with JavaScript is a plus.</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with building end-to-end prototypes covering stages from data ingestion and processing to instantiation of interactive UI.</li>\n<li>Understanding and experience with LLM OPS workflows, including fine-tuning, inference optimization, integration and monitoring is a plus.</li>\n<li>Broad experience with elements of Python’s data science and machine learning ecosystem including NumPy, Pandas/Polars, Jupyter, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, Statsmodels, Altair, etc.</li>\n<li>Experience with building applications with Flask, Gradio, Streamlit.</li>\n<li>Experience with data visualization tools and frameworks such as Vega/Vega-Lite, D3.js, Plotly, Gephi, Tableau, etc.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in using SQL.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with graph databases and query languages such as Cypher or Gremlin is a plus.</li>\n<li>Conceptual understanding of knowledge graphs and ontologies.</li>\n<li>Strong communications skills with technical and non-technical audiences.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Preferred Experience:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience performing data analysis</li>\n<li>Full stack software experience</li>\n<li>4+ years of experience in a relevant data science role</li>\n<li>Master’s degree in computer science, data analytics, applied mathematics, or related field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Why you’ll like it here:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Context Labs is collaborative at its core.
