Need to maintain the service and cleanliness of the bar area, ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction and control over liquor inventory.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition to travel discounts at our hotels, Highgate offers competitive benefits, including three pricing tiers of medical coverage, as well as Dental and Vision benefits to eligible full-time associates. All associates accrue paid sick leave in accordance with the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. Paid time off plans may also be available to associates who qualify. Applications will be accepted between 3/20- 5/15</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Process guests’ checks, collect cash and process credit cards and room charges according to standards.</li>\n <li>Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.</li>\n <li>Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the standards, for mixing, portion control and presentation.</li>\n <li>Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.</li>\n <li>Ensure the lounge areas are kept clean and tidy.</li>\n <li>Be familiar with the computer system.</li>\n <li>Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest.</li>\n <li>Follow all state liquor laws.</li>\n <li>Assist in maintaining beverage cost.</li>\n <li>Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and when necessary report to management.</li>\n <li>Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed. (bottle for bottle method)</li>\n <li>Stock and clean glassware.</li>\n <li>Check soda tanks to ensure that they are full and secured properly to the bar.</li>\n <li>Prepare all garnishes.</li>\n <li>Assist in cleaning of tables and all lounge area as needed.</li>\n <li>Ensure overall guest satisfaction.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.</li>\n <li>Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, according to local state laws.</li>\n <li>Flexible and long hours sometimes required.</li>\n <li>Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand for the entire shift.</li>\n <li>Previous bartending experience helpful.</li>\n <li>Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.</li>\n <li>Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
