Our compassion, integrity, accountability, and resilience defines us as leaders in pediatric specialty care for our children and their families.</p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>Under the direction of the Director of Performance Improvement / Risk Management, the Data Analyst collects, collates, displays and analyzes data. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists the Director and other department managers with performance improvement projects. </li>\n <li>Confirms accuracy and maintains confidentiality of data, reviews and makes necessary correction to information entered. </li>\n <li>Generates reports and responds to inquiries about data and department procedures as requested. </li>\n <li>Assists Director and other department managers with PI projects. </li>\n <li>Performs additional duties as requested. </li>\n <li>Requires excellent organization skills, accurate typing / data entry in MS Office software and database software, thoroughness and attention to detail. </li>\n <li>Requires ability to maintain confidentiality, contribute to a team effort and accomplish results as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a 100% onsite position at our Philadelphia hospital.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Management of Performance Improvement/Risk Management Functions</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists and supports Director with Patient Relation, Patient Safety and Patient Experience activities</li>\n <li>Manages and serves as administrator for the policy and procedure management system</li>\n <li>Supports and assists Director with Regulatory and Accreditation activities</li>\n <li>Explores and develops familiarity, over time with software applications as applicable to support performance improvement documentation.</li>\n <li>Works with manager to identify potential performance improvement activities within the department.</li>\n <li>Supports Director so the day-to-day activities are handled in an efficient, organized and timely manner</li>\n <li>Streamlines office and administrative processes to improve performance in areas of efficiency, productivity and satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Performs additional duties as requested</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Information Management</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collects data and prepares a variety of reports including Patient Experience, Hospital and Quality Dashboards, Risk Management, Compliance 360, and Infection Control accurately and in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Displays data using appropriate performance improvement, statistical, and graphic tools</li>\n <li>Proficient in computer queries to generate necessary reports as needed or required</li>\n <li>Demonstrate effective communication and relationship building skills</li>\n <li>Builds collaborative relationships with staff, peers and physicians</li>\n <li>Collaborates with teams to develop, review and revise processes, protocols, policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Communicates effectively with staff/patients/families/visitors</li>\n <li>Demonstrates behaviors for effective consultation meetings with department managers and team projects leaders</li>\n <li>Entering data and preparing reports</li>\n <li>Inputting data into the computer accurately and on a timely basis. Printing reports prior to meeting where data is presented by deadline as established by Director.</li>\n <li>Demonstrating proficiency in computer queries to generate necessary reports as needed or required</li>\n <li>Produces data reports and graphics which are accurate representations of the process under study.</li>\n <li>Demonstrating proficiency in producing graphs and tables and using performance improvement tools, such as, flowcharts, control charts, trending charts, etc.</li>\n <li>Research applicable report style and graphics to enhance the presentation of data.</li>\n <li>Assists in facilitating, recording and distribution of meeting minutes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required / Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree required</li>\n <li>3 years of Quality Management and Performance Improvement required</li>\n <li>Healthcare experience highly preferred</li>\n <li>2 years of Joint Commission preparation preferred</li>\n <li>Experience building reports in Epic EMR</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Additional Knowledge and Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic statistics</li>\n <li>Familiar with TJC standards and CQI tools</li>\n <li>Database management skills</li>\n <li>Ability to program and build databases </li>\n <li>Intermediate MS Excel</li>\n</ul>",
