Description

Under the direction of the Department Manager, the second shift Maintenance Lead ensures the production of company products at the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The Maintenance Lead will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy. This position will be 2pm to 10pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. The general purpose of the Maintenance Lead will be to assist the Maintenance supervisor with overseeing the maintenance personnel on his shift, work duties, equipment break downs, training, and projects. Also performing their own maintenance responsibilities. Communicate with the other shifts about issues with equipment. Check work orders and determine daily work schedule for the maintenance staff. Maintain all production equipment. Maintain preventative maintenance program Maintain parts inventory and organization. Assist in troubleshooting of plant equipment. Train fellow maintenance employees. Oversee daily activities of the maintenance staff. In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Federal, State, and local standards and regulations. Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding safety and standards of workplace behavior, in completing job duties and assignments Supervisory Responsibilities Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
