This role will be crucial in managing our PostgreSQL infrastructure, primarily running on AWS Aurora, supporting mission-critical healthcare applications. Operations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage day-to-day operations of PostgreSQL databases in AWS Aurora environments across multiple accounts</li>\n <li>Perform database setup, configuration, and deployment following best practices</li>\n <li>Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness</li>\n <li>Monitor database health, performance metrics, and capacity planning</li>\n <li>Execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Performance Optimization</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct performance tuning and optimization of PostgreSQL databases and queries</li>\n <li>Analyze and resolve database performance bottlenecks using AWS CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Grafana and other monitoring tools</li>\n <li>Optimize database parameters, indexes, and query execution plans</li>\n <li>Work with development teams to review and optimize SQL queries and database designs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>AWS Cloud Infrastructure</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leverage AWS Aurora PostgreSQL features including read replicas, automated backups, and high availability configurations</li>\n <li>Implement and manage Aurora clusters, parameter groups, and security configurations</li>\n <li>Utilize AWS services such as RDS, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Lambda, and S3 for database operations</li>\n <li>Implement AWS best practices for security, monitoring, and cost optimization</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Automation & Scripting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop automation scripts using Python or other programming languages for routine database tasks</li>\n <li>Create tools for database provisioning, monitoring, alerting, and reporting</li>\n <li>Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database deployments</li>\n <li>Automate backup verification, database refresh processes, and compliance reporting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Collaboration & Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues</li>\n <li>Collaborate with DevOps, NetOps, and development teams on infrastructure and application initiatives</li>\n <li>Participate in on-call rotation for production support</li>\n <li>Document database procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides</li>\n <li>Contribute to database standards and best practices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>4-7 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator</li>\n <li>Strong experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS</li>\n <li>Proficiency in PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of database backup and recovery strategies</li>\n <li>Experience with database security, user management, and access controls</li>\n <li>Programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages for automation</li>\n <li>Knowledge of AWS services (CloudWatch, Lambda, S3, Systems Manager, IAM)</li>\n <li>Experience with database monitoring and alerting tools</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts</li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with PostgreSQL logical replication and streaming replication</li>\n <li>Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)</li>\n <li>Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of other database platforms (Oracle, MySQL, Redshift)</li>\n <li>Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries</li>\n <li>AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Database Specialty)</li>\n <li>PostgreSQL certifications</li>\n
