    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">A</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">BOUT THE ROLE</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Under general supervision, the HVAC Mechanic performs skilled journeyperson level work on FMFN residential, facility, and building HVAC mechanical systems (heating, air flow, and air conditioning systems).  Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC mechanical components and systems in accordance with industry standards and to ensure safety, functionality, and efficiency.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Work involves a variety of construction, renovation, maintenance, or repair duties, requiring skill, precision, experience and knowledge of trade practices to produce refined work products. Assignments are usually in the form of oral or written work orders. </span><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">The journeyperson may be assigned tradespersons, apprentices, or labourers to assist in the work. Duties vary from one position to another but, in general, the below duties are performed. Registered apprentices will also perform or assist in these duties in accordance with their training and under the guidance, instruction, and direction of a journeyperson.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Aid with HVAC system installation in homes and offices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Install, service, and fix roof units for residential and business building heating and air conditioning systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Use a range of hand tools and equipment for HVAC installation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Repair and replace air ducts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Pick up and give tools, equipment, and supplies from the project site accordingly to orders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ensure that all tools, materials, and gear are in good operating order.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ensure that all HVAC systems adhere to industry standards and regulations.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with homeowners, team members, and facility maintenance staff to assess task requirements and provide accurate work scopes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Maintain a clean and organized work environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and hazards in the workplace.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Complete documentation and reporting accurately and in a timely manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Willingness to train and mentor apprentices, providing guidance and instruction on proper techniques and safety protocols.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Perform other related duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KEY REQUIREMENTS </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Minimum of three (3) years of journeyperson experience in the trade.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Alberta or Interprovincial Journeyperson certification in the trade of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Emergency First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate at time of hire an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">CSTS and WHMIS; H2S Alive, Fall Arrest, Elevated Work Platform, Other Trade Tickets an asset.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">ABOUT FORT MCKAY<br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">The Fort McKay First Nation (FMFN) is composed of over 800 band members, including those of Cree and Dene heritage, with approximately 400 members residing in the hamlet of Fort McKay — a community located approximately 65 km north of Fort McMurray.
