    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Pictsweet Company is looking for a quality assurance technician to join our vegetable processing facility in Bells, TN. This position operates on a swing shift. This role requires candidates to rotate working in two different departments, each with varying start and end times.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Benefits:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><em>Benefits begin after required waiting period.</em></li>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>401k with Employer Match</li>\n <li>Group Life Insurance</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><em>Duties include but are not limited to, the following:</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Study grade standards and apply to products assigned IQF, and repack items.</li>\n <li>Read and understand “Net Weight Control Book.”</li>\n <li>Check package weights, calculate average weights, accumulative averages, ranges and graph results.</li>\n <li>Product Ingredients – monitor product ratios, by percentage, and product grades in all blended products.</li>\n <li>Package Check – learn how to obtain and understand all package, case, and code information for all labels and check and record information on form.</li>\n <li>Obtain and Record product temperatures.</li>\n <li>Supply lead person or forklift drivers with product name, all coding information, LSI code, and grade (Freshpack only).</li>\n <li>Monitor and record foreign material findings from your assigned lines.</li>\n <li>Communicate with foreign material monitors concerning any pertinent findings.</li>\n <li>Learn how to react to “non-standard” situations.</li>\n <li>Communicate all pertinent information to Manager /or Supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in food quality control or related field preferred.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and statistical analysis preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Cognitive & Psychological:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to read and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.</li>\n <li>Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations including fractions and decimals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Physical:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to work in cold (35-40 degrees) or hot environment for extended period.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.</li>\n <li>Must be able to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Able to use both hands.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Pictsweet Company is an equal opportunity employer.
