This role ensures the integrity of our financial data through robust internal controls, streamlined month-end processes, and the development of clear procedural documentation. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Review tax filings and regulatory submissions, including GST, and fuel taxes Oversee the full AP/AR cycles, ensuring timely collections of outstanding receivables and punctual payment of vendor obligations Analyze cash flow visibility by monitoring bank balances and reviewing/signing off on monthly bank reconciliations Coach and mentor staff by communicating clear job expectations and providing technical guidance on complex accounting entries Lead the month-end close process by analyzing variances, monitoring revenue/expenses, and performing thorough reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities for automation, documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementing internal control enhancements Support audit requirements by preparing necessary schedules, providing documentation, and assisting in the completion of the year-end processes Coordinate team coverage by assigning and scheduling tasks, monitoring workloads, and facilitating cross-training to ensure zero gaps in service Must haves: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in an accounting leadership role an asset Exceptional leadership abilities IT literate - fully conversant in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada Nice to haves: Experience working in a multi-company environment Previous aviation experience Ready to join us?
