As we expand, we&#39;re looking for a Senior Digital Hardware Engineer who will apply their skills and experience to lead the design of custom hardware and firmware for cutting-edge sensor and communication systems. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with the potential for hybrid arrangements.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Derive and document Digital Hardware system requirements working collaboratively with multiple technical disciplines &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Define custom multi-layer PCB architectures and perform part selection, schematic design, and aid in layout activities&nbsp;</li><li>Perform functional test and verification activities for new hardware and aid in production transition and support&nbsp;</li><li>Architect and design HDL solutions for the latest Xilinx FPGAs and SoC devices such as Ultrascale+ and RFSoCs&nbsp;</li><li>Design and implement efficient solutions for data acquisition, digital signal processing, command and control, external hardware interfaces, and high-speed communication protocols&nbsp;</li><li>Use scripting languages such as Python and Bash to automate and improve workflows&nbsp;</li><li>Perform integration and test of hardware and HDL designs at subsystem and system levels&nbsp;</li><li>Provide information in support of project planning, execution, and oversight&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What We&rsquo;re Looking For:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>&nbsp;A desire to own project assignments and work creatively and collaboratively on cross-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions that impress our customers and move our industry forward.&nbsp;</li><li>An open-minded approach to solving challenges, and proactive development of backup plans to ensure the team can hit the mark even when encountering the unexpected.&nbsp;</li><li>A mindset trained on long-term goals and objectives, balanced with making demonstratable incremental steps along the way to meet the pace of our industry.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to efficiently convey complex ideas, coupled with an ability to listen, question, and understand stakeholder needs.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Required Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field&nbsp;</li><li>5+ years related professional experience&nbsp;</li><li>PCB design experience including the design of digital and analog circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memories, and high-speed data converters&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with VHDL and/or Verilog to configure FPGAs and other embedded systems&nbsp;</li><li>Applied experience testing and validating analog and digital hardware using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>10% travel.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience with Altium design environment&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with modern Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado design environment&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Communication and Sensor systems, Digital Signal Processing, Software Defined Radios, RF System Design&nbsp;</li><li>Experience providing design oversight and detailed design review feedback&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Matlab, Python, Linux&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p style='margin:0in;line-height:115%;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong> Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance.
