    "description": "<p>Dynamic Concepts, Incorporated, a growing Underground Utility Infrastructure company located in Washington, D.C. is searching for a Payroll Specialist.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext\">Job Summary:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and compliant weekly, biweekly and year-end payroll processing, payroll taxes and reporting for a multi-company, multi-division, 200+ employee payroll.   </span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Payroll Specialist also enters, updates, and maintains employee records in Foundation Construction Payroll system; responsible for data integrity, generating reports, data extraction and manipulation.  </span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Payroll Specialist reports directly to the Controller and interacts with all members of Finance and the Human Resources department and supports all employees.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext\"> </span><span style=\"color: windowtext\"> </span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Duties/Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, severance, final pay, and other pay actions/deductions.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ensures timely and accurate setup and processing of new hires and associated taxes, benefit elections, timecard, etc. in accordance with agreed upon first pay date. Processes terminations and final pay, to include severance and PTO, in accordance with state regulatory requirements.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Monitors overtime usage and ensures accurate pay.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ensures data integrity of Foundation Construction payroll and timekeeping system. Uses full system functionality and capacity to meet the needs of our complex payroll and regulatory requirements (certified payroll and Union benefits reporting).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Required Skills/Abilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Five to seven years of related experience required.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Sound knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, and internal control.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Proficient with Foundation Construction Payroll experience preferred.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Proficient with payroll software required.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Strong analytical, problem-solving and process improvement skills.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Excellent numerical/computational skills</span><span style=\"color: windowtext\">.  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: windowtext\">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Job Type: Full-time</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\">Dynamic Concepts, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
