This role completes additional testing during the production process, helps correct in-process issues as well as assists employees and provides direction to personnel in the proper testing procedures - including the use of laboratory equipment, documentation, and inspection of products at various stages of production process to ensure compliance with company, customer or government quality standards.<br><br><p>This is for a 2nd shift opportunity. <strong>2nd shift is from approximately 2pm-10pm.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Monitor GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) including the quality testing and documentation of shift employees primarily from the Production department. &nbsp;</li><li style=\"box-sizing: border-box; --tw-shadow: 0 0 #0000; --tw-ring-inset: ; --tw-ring-offset-width: 0px; --tw-ring-offset-color: #fff; --tw-ring-color: rgba(59,130,246,.5); --tw-ring-offset-shadow: 0 0 #0000; --tw-ring-shadow: 0 0 #0000;\" id=\"isPasted\">Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as brix, pH, color, viscosity, and temperature. &nbsp; Records test data.</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Acts as a resource when quality, food safety or processing issues are encountered and follows through to resolution. &nbsp;Help fix in-process issues or make a determination for product to be put on quality hold. &nbsp;</li><li>Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.</li><li>Calibrates lab testing equipment as required.</li><li>Adheres to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, Safety, Food Safety, and Standardized Work procedures.</li><li>All other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements and Abilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in food sciences, microbiology, or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>3+ years experience in a Quality role or related manufacturing w/quality and testing position required.</li><li>Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred.</li><li>Detailed oriented with the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, and risk analysis. &nbsp;Ability to identify trends and patterns.</li><li>Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions based on common sense and technical expertise.
