Your Mission in Action The Lead Clinician oversees the clinical operations and management of services for Unaccompanied Children. This includes designing treatment protocols, conducting assessments and utilization reviews, and evaluating the program and services post-discharge or placement, in compliance with Agency policies and procedures, Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR), state licensing standards, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) regulations. Responsibilities Monitors and evaluates clinical services for compliance with Agency policies, Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR), state licensing standards, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) regulations; reviews services to identify best practices and emerging trends, recommending improvements to enhance child services Collaborates with the clinical and interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans, ensuring all children receive the necessary services to meet their individual treatment and behavior goals, and promotes zero tolerance for sexual abuse Works as part of the team, modeling professionalism and positive relationships Assists in identifying and coordinating with community service providers, including vocational education and independent living; supports acculturation and adaptation services; researches and fosters community partnerships to enhance clinical services Develops and maintains positive relationships with children, families, sponsors, service providers, and community partners while maintaining professional boundaries; demonstrates cultural sensitivity and professionalism, reflecting the Agency's values and policies Oversees emergency evaluations for children in crisis, facilitating onsite solutions or referrals for more intensive treatment; provides individual and crisis intervention as needed Supports clinical staff in completing required assessments and facilitating individual, group, or family counseling sessions as needed Assists in evacuating children during inclement weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies; serves as a member of the ‘administrator on-call’ (AOC) team, conducts unannounced rounds on all shifts; available to work evenings and weekends as needed Attends trainings and workshops to maintain licensure Other duties and projects as assigned Coach and support staff to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources needed to optimize performance, ensure established program goals, and achieve operational excellence. Communicate with direct reports in periodic one-on-one meetings Organize and deliver regularly scheduled staff meetings to communicate present, on-going, and future updates of pertinent information, projects, and initiatives Work closely with management team to interview, hire, and onboard new employees who are strong cultural fits for Upbring Work in collaboration with leadership and the People and Culture Team to arrange training; when needed, coordinate and/or provide in-service training for staff development Regularly review employee performance, including goals and progress, to provide developmental feedback: use applicable agency development tools to facilitate growth and development in staff Draft and issue the 90-day and annual evaluations, along with supporting documentation, as per established procedures; work in collaboration with staff to set goals during evaluation periods Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, two (2) years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience or a master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience/or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences. Must be licensed to provide clinical services in the State where the care provider is located Previous supervisory or management experience Bilingual in English and Spanish based on service population and area Must be 21 years of age or older per licensing requirements Ability to multi-task and accomplish multiple goals Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail Demonstrated ability in managing all clinical aspects of the facility Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of clinical experience with a similar population Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience Travel This position may be required to travel up to 10% Perks at Upbring Competitive PTO & paid holidays Health, dental, vision insurance & more 403(b) Plan Employee Assistance Program Discounted Gym Memberships Physical Demands & Work Conditions This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time Position works in a child facility and has constant exposure to children Position requires frequent standing, walking and time in units/cottages which are areas where children reside Lift, push, pull, move up to 25 lbs.
