Description

• Review production schedules, processes, specifications and related information. • Design manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. • Develop and implement process improvements and technology upgrades. • Design control systems to minimize production costs and problems. • Develop design and manufacturing standards in conjunction with management and staff use. • Make lists of supplies and equipment, purchase orders, analyze costs, and estimate production costs. • Design the facility layout and determine staffing requirements. • Train employees on new procedures and provide instructions and manuals. • Manage process documentation and prepare production reports. • Perform manufacturing and assembly tasks for assigned products. • Perform quality checks on the functionality of parts and components. • Added finishing touches to the look of the component. • Optimize production efficiency by adjusting machine and equipment settings as needed. • Make minor repairs and report problems in a timely manner. • Maintain equipment maintenance records, as well as maintain a safe and orderly work environment. • Update productivity records and write incident reports as required. • Train and supervise new employees. • Coordinate with other departments to complete production orders on time. • Comply with internal policies and industry regulations. Requirements • Requires an Industrial Engineering degree or related field. • Relevant work experience. • Thorough understanding of production machinery, processes and standards. • Critical thinking and problem solving skills. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. • Documentation and organizational skills. • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD. • At least two years of experience as a production technician. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes in a related industry is preferred. • Extensive experience in implementing quality control procedures and maintaining production standards. • Solid technical and mechanical skills. • Excellent organization and time management skills. • Excellent communication and cooperation skills. • Attention to detail and problem-solving techniques.
