Today, that tradition continues as we transform our organization&#39;s portfolio, expand our core ceramic technologies, explore capabilities beyond traditional areas, and challenge ourselves to develop solutions and services that leverage technology to address social issues while contributing to a sustainable society.</p><p><strong>Summary:</strong></p><p>The Maintenance Technician provides primary maintenance support to production lines, leads equipment installations and modifications, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC-based control systems. This second-shift role (Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM) requires the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, train new technicians, and fabricate parts to complete assigned Kaizens. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proven track record of performance in a manufacturing maintenance environment.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide primary maintenance support to production lines; document all work performed using TM&#39;s CMMS.</li><li>Schedule and assign work orders, perform appropriate maintenance on machinery and fabrication, and verify results using TM&#39;s CMMS.</li><li>Lead or actively participate in all equipment installations and modifications on production equipment, including but not limited to installing and performing setup for mass production.</li><li>Lead and assist in performing preventive and predictive maintenance on all production equipment.</li><li>Participate in training all new technicians to rapidly improve their skill levels.</li><li>Effectively manage labor costs and productivity.</li><li>Provide prompt, accurate, and professional communication to appropriate personnel as required.</li><li>Assist in establishing spare parts quantities and ordering frequencies for all new spare parts.</li><li>Assist with incoming spare parts inspection to verify usability and dimensional accuracy.</li><li>Assist in maintaining and reworking spare parts.</li><li>Utilize various machine shop equipment to fabricate and complete assigned Kaizens.</li><li>Operate the man lift in accordance with procedures and guidelines.</li><li>Perform all work in accordance with quality, environmental, and regulatory procedures and guidelines.</li><li>Function as a member of the First Responder team per the WVSM Manual.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S standards.</li><li>Promptly report any abnormalities of incoming parts or increases in part usage to management.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</li><li>Overtime and shift changes may be necessary as required.</li><li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures, which include IATF, ISO, TISAX, ISMS, and Safety-related policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.</li><li>Basic understanding of PLC-based controls.</li><li>High mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Able to properly troubleshoot issues on most equipment.</li><li>Able to complete tasks with little to no supervision.</li><li>Capable of interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.</li><li>Strong problem identification and resolution skills.</li><li>Excellent organization, planning, and administration skills.</li><li>High capability of multitasking.</li><li>Effective communication and time management skills.</li><li>Basic understanding of computer systems and handheld devices.</li><li>Able to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Capable of assisting in training others on basic repairs.</li><li>Able to work both indoors and outdoors.</li><li>May need to be certified to drive a forklift and/or man lift.</li><li>Vocational or technical certificate preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of electrical repair preferred.</li><li>Understanding of Microsoft Office preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Able to see and hear (correctable).</li><li>Able to communicate verbally.</li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.</li><li>Able to lift 75 lbs. with assistance.</li><li>Able to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and repetitive motion.</li><li>Safety toe shoes required.</li></ul><p><strong>Potential Hazards:</strong></p><ul><li>Hazards associated with business operations.</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Comprehensive Health Benefits:</strong> Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.</li><li><strong>Financial Security:</strong> Short-term and long-term disability coverage.</li><li><strong>Retirement Savings:</strong> 401(k) plan with a generous company match of up to 6%.</li><li><strong>Time Off:</strong> Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.</li><li><strong>Work-Life Balance:</strong> Paid maternity and paternity leave.</li><li><strong>And much more!</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:</strong></p><p>Niterra is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
