    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<b>Job Summary</b><br><br>The Maintenance Engineer II ensures the functionality, safety, and compliance of healthcare facility systems and equipment by performing advanced maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems, as well as hospital-specific equipment. The Maintenance Engineer II responds to urgent issues, and may assist in supervising entry-level engineers to support the operational efficiency of the facility.<br><br><b>Essential Functions</b><ul><li>Troubleshoots and performs repairs on mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems, as well as hospital-specific equipment.</li>\n<li>Responds to work request or trouble calls and pages in a timely and professional manner without valid written complaints.</li>\n<li>Ensures all maintenance activities meet safety regulations and hospital standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission).</li>\n<li>Addresses urgent repair requests and resolve critical issues, minimizing disruptions to hospital operations.</li>\n<li>Performs regular inspections and maintain the condition of hospital buildings and infrastructure.</li>\n<li>Keeps accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance for management reporting.</li>\n<li>Assists with budget management, and track and order necessary maintenance supplies and parts.</li>\n<li>Maintains detailed logs of maintenance work, service reports, and equipment status for management oversight.</li>\n<li>Quickly addresses and resolves critical maintenance issues to minimize disruptions to hospital operations and patient care.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n<li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li>\n<li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>Associate Degree or formal training in facility maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field preferred </li><li>2-4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, engineering, or related roles required </li>\n<li>3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, engineering, or related roles in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred </li></ul><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b><ul><li>Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems).</li>\n<li>Proficient in troubleshooting and repair techniques.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills for interacting with hospital staff, vendors, and contractors.</li>\n<li>Ability to perform operations on high pressure boilers, emergency generators, and fire alarm panes in an emergency.</li></ul><b>Licenses and Certifications</b><ul><li>DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State  required  </li>\n<li>Licensed Steam Boiler and Refrigeration within the first six (6) months of employment if applicable by state required  </li>\n<li>Licensed Maintenance Electrician  required or </li>\n<li>Certified HVAC Technician  required or </li>\n<li>PLUMBER - Licensed Plumber  required  </li></ul><b>State Specific Requirements</b><ul><li>Georgia: CPI - Nonviolent Crisis Prevention &amp; Intervention Training certification required.</li></ul>\n",
