The ideal candidate is motivated, experienced, and carries out work safely. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Perform pre and post trip of equipment every day and fill out daily inspection sheets.</li>\n <li>Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel/moves joysticks to operate loader.</li>\n <li>Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front end loader forward to force bucket into finished product.</li>\n <li>Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled and dumps material into truck or rail.</li>\n <li>Provide excellent customer service to all customers on site.</li>\n <li>Maintains haul roads that are smooth and safe.</li>\n <li>Keep stockpiles properly bermed and maintained.</li>\n <li>Ensure product is blended correctly.</li>\n <li>Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating and cleaning.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR one month of related experience and/or training\n  <ul>\n   <li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n <li><strong>Able to work night shifts!</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3 months+ related experience</li>\n <li>Experience operating heavy equipment\n  <ul>\n   <li>Strong preference for Loader operation experience</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting</li>\n <li>MSHA or other relevant safety certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Sit</li>\n   <li>Use hands to finger, handle, or feel</li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently required to talk or hear</li>\n <li>Occasionally required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Stand, walk, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities include distance, peripheral, and depth perception</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Outside weather conditions</li>\n   <li>Vibration</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Fumes and airborne particles</li>\n   <li>Moving parts</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Noise level is usually loud</li>\n</ul>\n<p>H&K Group, Inc.’s <strong>Locust Ridge Quarry</strong> has been producing a full line of construction aggregate and asphalt materials from our key Pocono Lake, PA location since 1981.
