font-size: 10pt\">Position Responsibilities<br></span></span><em><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 32, 96); font-size: 10pt\">Here’s what your day-to-day looks like:</span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Lead estimates from start to finish, including mentoring junior staff and ensuring their work is accurate.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Have full ownership of the bid process, from invitation to submission.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Interpret documentation, specifications, and design drawings to define scope and contents of the estimates</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Review and analyze bid packages from subcontractors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist with negotiations, contract clarifications, consultants, clients, venders, and subcontractors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain large working files as supporting documentation for estimating figures including current, accurate information on prices from venders through exclusive contact, marketing material, pre-existing price lists, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure knowledge in the field remains current through participation in appropriate training and development activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economical alternative</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in the transfer of information on successful projects</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 32, 96); font-size: 10pt\">Job Requirements</span></span></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 32, 96); font-size: 10pt\">Our ideal candidate has the following:</span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Broad knowledge in all aspects of quantity surveyor (e.g., RS Means, contracts, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">8-10 years of experience in construction estimating.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Able to manage the full bid process from invitation to submission.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to mentor and guide junior estimators.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent knowledge of the construction industry (e.g., trends, competitors, subcontractors).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proven demonstration of leading larger estimates on complex projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Knowledge of a variety of contract arrangements such as Lump Sum, Design Build, Project Management, Construction Management, Public/Private Partnership.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proficiency using MS Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">High attention to detail.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proven ability to work under pressure.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for normal functions and special assignments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Service orientated with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external clients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Professional designation GSC, CEC, PQS, P.Eng. is considered an asset.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 32, 96);
