The ideal candidate will have worked in Institutional markets, specifically Healthcare or a desire to learn Healthcare Architecture.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Houston, Texas - Downtown</p><p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> 40 FT Hours</p><p><strong>Compensation Type:</strong> Salary</p><p><strong>Registration:</strong> Licensed Architect Required</p><p><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in architecture required, Master’s degree in Architecture preferred &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Leads technical design for the office and works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to produce design documents for a wide variety of building types.</li><li>Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects with a high degree of technical complexity.</li><li>Supervise project team’s work cooperatively with the project manager and project designer.</li><li>Ensure project development, documentation and its completion meets schedule, budget, code requirements, and technical quality requirements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.</li><li>Review work and propose changes to design, and to comply with building codes and budget.</li><li>Prepare plan of action to resolve project issues.</li><li>Prepare bids or assist with contractor selection process.</li><li>Assist market sector teams in preparing proposals, and participating in new project presentations as requested.</li><li>Collaborates with project teams to solve tough problems and provide creative design solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Undertakes Project Manager responsibilities for major projects ($2.0+ million annual billing).</li><li>Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Leads successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality, satisfied client). &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects.</li><li>Cultivates relationships with clients and holds strong relationships with clients.</li><li>&nbsp;Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process including weekly rhythm.</li><li>&nbsp;Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additional opportunities with existing clients and is responsible for assigned portion of office sales goal.
